We all know hundreds, even thousands of directories in English, which are doing good job, but pretty low.
I can offer to you the following list of directories, portals and website charts, where you can include your link and get good PR.
I can tell you that only with listing of these high rated websites you can get at least PR3 and good backlinks for you. If you have similar local list good known in your country, please share
    My list is:

Unless you have a website in that language its of minimal benefit, for english language sites they are better off being listed in english language directories.

Unless you work for google you shouldn't make claims that you know what PR you will get from a particular process as no one knows that.

    I cannot agree with you.
What I had in mind was that everyone submit his new website is several directories, which he knew that are giving good result over traffic, over backlinks and so on. And if everyone shares his local directories and portals, the list will become pretty huge
Submitting to large number of english directories is right, but they should be qualited. Even if they are perfect you may not get backlink according to google bot. The best thing is that from this list you can get large number of backlinks, what I had tested (about 3-4) according to google, which is very good in my eyes

If you submit an english language site to a foreign language directory/portal/site you wont get suitable traffic if any does come through.

Are you saying 3 - 4 links from all that? thats not much, is the website your own?

yes you are right the traffic of bulgarian directories is usually more than 70% from Bulgaria, which is normally. but actually for link building it will not be any problem. 3-4 links I meant that counted by google. You know how hard is to get backlink for google.

Its not hard to get backlinks in google, they just dont show everything.

Regarding getting backlinks from foreign directories, ive tried it, heavily, its useless, at least in my case.

Its like walking into a room full of heavy metal music fans to try and sell them rap concert tickets, totally targetting the wrong group.
