    Is it more worthwhile to receive check in local currency? What is the exchange rate that google uses?

    Google doesn't publish their exchange rates. Some banks will charge you for depositing U.S. checks. Your best bet is to find a bank that'll take U.S. checks at a good exchange rate and go with U.S. checks.

    I think the Exchange rate of Local currency is taken into acc. on the date of issue of check. Meaning the value of local currency to US dollars on date of issue of chq is the exchange rate for google.
