local currency check in india

    I live at india. Will i avail the local currency check? what will be the conversion rate?

    for India local currency checks are better since the bank will not charge for clearing your cheque, if it is a dollar check some banks do charge for clearance and it will take longer

    Also G pays a better exchange rate..
    I guess we get more money in our account than getting a USD cheques and depositing..
