Local businesses in search results.

    Hello - I would like to have my business listed within the first results appearing in the search results. I'm there but on page 4 which is not good since it doesn't appear on Google search results. I listed my business etc..
    any tips, advices to be among the firsts? how google pull the first results?

    Thank you for the link. it appears that's nobody has a specific details on how this work. I almost did everything listed including confirming the business physical address (2 locations) etc.
    The only thing I didn't try yet is using those agents.. for some reason i always thought they will just enter your info manually.

    i think it depends on the search query.. maybe try to use or target kws or titles that best describe your business locally..

    If you did everything then you must wait until Google ads you to the list.

    Adam, start by optimizing you site for the keywords you are interested in. The submit you site to local directories.

    It is hard work, but you can try doing things like posting youtube videos, with your keywords in the title.

    Make sure you're listed in the google business listings, of course.

    List your business in every local directory, like superpages, yahoo, and also any industry related directory. Search google for 'your city business directory' or 'your city business submit' where 'your city' is of course the city you're targeting.

    Also, you can try moving your website to a local hosting company. Google seems to give some precedence to sites whose IP address matches the geography that they are marketing to.

    Write a few articles about your industry in your city. Submit to ezine, etc.
