Hey, I started an website about a service in New York. Ads on my pages are relevant with content, but they are not local targeted... For example, if my website is about restaurants in New York I do not want to display ads about restaurants in Toronto or Berlin... Is there any way to display local ads only? If yes, what I have to do to?
First thing to do is make sure your content is specific enough for the local ads to appear. If you have, and still get nothing, local ads MAY not exist.
When I type in Google keywords for which I am looking to have in my ads, around Google results I see ads I would like to have on my website. 1. I have these keywords in domain 2. Have it in page title 3. In article title and few more times in my article... My ads are not bad, but thay are still not exactly what I want.
Yes and no. Google is going to display the ads based on what they think is the best match. For example: If you have a website about Dallas Hotels and you have users in Dallas they will likely get Dallas Ads. But if your user in in Minneapollis and planning a trip to Dallas you'll probably have Minneapolis Ads in the mix. No way for you to really tell actually. Google is also using User Cookies so as a individual searches over for Dallas Hotels and clicks on related ads Google should "pick up on this behavior" and start displaying more Dallas Ads. At least that is the intent. I work a lot of travel niches and I see ads that don't match. All you can really do is section targeting and stay on focus as much as possible with your content. Adsense isn't perfect.
Adsense not perfect but it pretty accurate. Don't judge it effectiveness by the ads that you are seeing. You may be seeing some ads because you live in NY but you may not see what ads the reader from LA will see. Also now that Adsense does this whole personalized advertising thingy, they monitor the users search trends, etc and display ads. If you feel that article and page title not calling up geo-targeted ads, then try to put in some headings in between paragraphs and place Adsense near that. Remember that you can place Adsense in your content and it usually performs better here.
