    awesometbn - Thanks for pointing this out. I briefly mentioned this before as well. If I had more time and wasnt going to Iraq either I wouldnt be selling my site at all or I wouldnt take nothing less than $30K.

    hqBuyer - 90%-95% of the revenue monthly is coming from LeaderMarkets. If you look at the site you will see that for ads thats almost all there is. The rest is coming from Adzoogle, Ebay, and ClickBank. The category I target in Adbrite is usually Finance and Business/Finance/

    Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to but this site, but being the cheapskate I am, I figured I'd try building something of my own along the same lines.

    The numbers that I'm having a hard time coming to terms with, are the PPC costs. The OP said he was spending about $500 dollars per month, mainly on PPC, and according to his stats he was getting about 9000 visitors per month. That works out to about 5 cents per visitor. Doing a little research in adwords, I'm kinda confused. I see no way you can get that many visitors from adwords for that price. The more popular keywords associated with Payday Loans go seem to average about $5 - $6 per click. Even with longtail terms, I'd think it would be pretty tough much impossible to get 5 cent clicks.

    Am I overlooking something here? I've never really done adwords before.

    I doubt he's using Adwords to get the traffic. Probably something else like Adbrite or another network.

    This guy was selling sites on SitePoint many months ago claiming he was going to Iraq and needed to get rid of them. alicbol1, did you go to Iraq and come back and now need to go again? Or did you not go yet and are just leaving now? What's the story? Is this your marketing technique?

    Just wanted to follow up. As the buyer of the site, I have been nothing but impressed with the professionalism that Nick (Alicbol1) has shown.

    He did everythng for me in proving his credentials, including showing copies of his Navy ID, DL, etc. Made for a safe and rewarding transaction.

    Instead of doubting, how about you all send him your best wishes for when he heads to Iraq by the end of October?
