at first, our economical concerns were almost funny.. then, they got more serious to the point of not even being funny, and now they have become SO serious that it is not worth the energy anymore to be serious about and have thus become finally laughable once more..

i guess when you lose half your retirement all you can do is laugh, you've wasted enough time being serious. c'mon folks we all die someday, take to the grave something that means something to you! like good humor! :)

Not many people care about the National Debt. People are more interested in government programs and government fixes. All of which cost more money than people are willing to pay in taxes.

516 trillion in derivatives. That's way too much leverage.

Well its going to happen eventually, this is what happens when you give the power to print money to a private corporation. The federal reserve is the reason why america is crippled right now. Americans that pay income tax - do you really think that that money goes towards the running of your public services? Every last sent goes back to the federal reserve to cover the interest on the currency the it prints for the goverment. So when the goverment needs money they ask the federal reserve for a loan, which they never pay back, they just pay billions in the interest, or should i say the american taxpayers.

"The government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credit needed to satisfy the spending power of the government and the buying power of consumers. The privilege of creating and issuing money is not only the supreme prerogative of government, but it is the government’s greatest creative opportunity. The financing of all public enterprise, and the conduct of the treasury will become matters of practical administration. Money will cease to be master and will then become servant of humanity."

    - can anyone think which wise old dead guy said that? There could not be a more fitting quote.
