LLLL.net domain - worth anything?

    Hi,

I've had this domain since 2000 so it's 6 years old. it's a LLLL.net domain. It currently has a PR of 3. It had absolutely nothing on it for a while - as in literally not even an index page and still held a PR of 2. I have since put up a wordpress blog with 3 entries and that increased it's PR to 3.

The letters are somewhat random, however at the time they were short for a business I planned to start. Then of course the dot com buble burst and I have used it solely for email ever since.

If I was to sell it, are four letter .net domains worth much these days or is it all still in 3 letter .com's?

if its a heaps brandable LLLL.net it may be worth $15+

but if its nothing crash hot then probly 15 only,

but seeing its been registered since 2000 I am guessing its something half decent!

Why does it being registered since 2000 increase it's value?

Search Engines favor old domains better.

For example I have two sites, Gandharv.com and Wizcop.com, Wizcop is registered in 2006, Gandharv in 2002. If I upload an article to Gandharv, it will get indexed in one day, whereas Wizcop is yet to get out of the new site sandbox of around 5-6 months.

Without knowing the 4 letters you cant give an estimated value.
Year of registration really wont matter much unless its decent letters and alll other ext's are taken.

    Okay then

Yeah all other extentions are taken. Well the .com and .org. I don't worry about the others.

    The domain is emgi.net

Sorry for the double post here, I saw someone using this site to justify their asking price for a domain in the for sale section. So I was curious about emgi.net and another domain I own.

The first domain came up with a value of $175. So then I put in emgi.net and got a value of $20,160. Source

So, if anyone wants to offer me $20K for it I'm happy to discuss ;)

Leapfish appraisals are one of the most inaccurate appraisals I have ever seen, therefore Leapfish should not and I mean it, it should not ever be trusted for any appraisal, the Algo is way off, poorly coded and not even the owners know what the hell it does, your domain's price is $100-$130 and thats all you can get for it and you can get it easily enough.
