Im here to auction off my newest baby yet; LivingElectro.fm
LivingElectro.fm is a 2.0 website dedicated to artists who are looking for major exposure. Hence, its an electronic music discovery platform.
The site consists of 4 major genres: Electro, House, dubstep & Trance. Along with a section for mixsets.
The website is coded in html5 while running on a wordpress backend. We have done it this way so uploading, managing content & users would be as easy as it could be.
We have integrated soundclouds and zippyshare's api, hence non of the songs are hosted by ourselves.
Reason for sale: Got a full time position at a local IT company. It will be very hard for to maintain the consistent growth rate of this product.
Total amount put in for design/coding/marketing:
We have spent a rough $18 000 on this project.
Here is a breakdown:
-Design: $5000 (Hired a well known designer via Dribbble) Its a top of the line design work giving you an edge in the market.
-Coding: $6000 (Outsourced it to a local company in canada) The site is bug free and perfected for the end user. Everything is managed through the wordpress backend. [Simple and easy]
-Marketing: We have spent close to $7000 creating various splash pages gathering emails of people who have been anxious for our launch. Little did we know, we managed to collect 80 000 emails. We approached Constant Contact (an email marketing campaign) and they have quoted us $400 to send out those emails which is way out of my budget. Although, we did send out an email to 1/10 of our contacts (8000 emails which we will also give out with the sale) and the response we got was phenomenal.
In 2 weeks, we have a 1000 registered members signed up via facebook and twitter.
About 20 song submissions a day
Users sharing songs left and right
1900 facebook fans

This was the faster converting product I have ever seen. The feedback we have received is simply incredible.


Financial Details

We have built the website on a innovative monetization base.
A)Charging $5 per song submitted through artists for exposure
B)Google adsense

The plan a was supposed to be applied after 6 months of activity. Since, after 2 weeks of operations, the site is up for grabs, song uploading is free of charge.
Google adsense is bringing from $4 to $10 / day already with very minimal traffic which is incredible
Once the new owner sets the plan A to motion, revenue will be streaming in with this unique business model.

Traffic Details

As mentioned above,
My sending out an email to 10% of our email list, we already have from 250 to 1500 unique visitors a day after only 2 weeks of operations.
I have so many other marketing strategies that will grow uniques to 10 000 visits a day within the first 6 months
