    Problem with that is that you dont actually have to be champion to win it, you can come 4th in our league and still qualify which is needless to say stupid because you just get knocked out (note: Everton)...

    I reckon it's only because of the ££$$££

    More teams mean more games means more gate receipts and advertising.

    If you only had 16 teams starting it wouldn't be much of a contest would it?

    Yeah I'd heard about that. I think Rangers and Celtic were considering it but they would have to leave the SPL.

    Wouldnt be much of a loss for them as the Scottish league is so underclassed when it come to anyone outside Glasgow and Edinbourgh.

    Would be a nice idea though, would make for some much more interesting games.

    What about Hearts this season though? :D

    That would be awesome for Scottish football if they won the league. His are 3rd as well ahead of Rangers. I'd like to see someone else except Rangers and Celtic winning the league as we all know, competition is good for progress.

    Yeah, I was saying this to my Dad the other day. Instead of 4 leagues, they should have 3. Maybe 14 in the top league, and 18 in the other 2.
