Live PR - Webmaster Tools

Is the green juice in the bars of Googles webmaster tools a good indication of live Page Rank.

I have a site which has a TBPR of 5 but only green juice is in the low PR bar. Does this mean the PR5 is now a distant memory?

Can anyone help put some numbers to the low, medium and high bars. If you have green in the medium bar then what does that mean - I would think PR5+ - but it would be good to get some facts.

    Thanks

    Theres a link over here..
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=94921

    Some of whats said:

    "My logical assumption : low = 0-3, medium = 4-5, high= rest."

"My guess on the distribuion is:
    High: PR8 and higher
    Med: PR5-7
    Low: PR4 and lower"

(These arent my Posts , one is from Cristian Mezei and other Hulkster..)

Im not 100% myself but would go with Medium is 5+.....

    Hope this helps...

Only google has the live pr data, and you can use some pagerank prediction tool to check your live PR, but it's just a guess, no gurantee.

Well google has just live pr data.. nobody else that is what i know... have never seen that some tools predict a pr and it comes true... so just do the best to get better pr... and leave that with google... what we need is good amount of traffic

    OK. Thanks for the replies.
One more query based on this subject; How long does PR last when the PR giving links are taken away? I had a PR8 link on a review website for a couple weeks before it got pushed off the page. Does my site keep any of the PR link juice recieved from the PR8 after the link is take away? Why do people buy high PR links for short period of time? Is it purely for indexing then hoping that the on-page factors will start to kick in?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You can also lose PR so I don't think your site keeps the PR juice....

I don't think it has anything to do with the value of PR, rather how well the PR is distributed through out the site. The table clearly states "distribution" not value.

High = good distribution, or you're doing a good job spreading PR around.

the green bar it means you have a PR, google PR toolbar makes it live... the higher the green bar the higher PR... only google can automatically increase your PR..
