Live Inventory Script / PayPal as Payment Processor

    I'm looking for a script that monitors inventory live. As one item is purchased, I need 1,000 to click to to 999 automatically on the item page, etc. (There is only one item on my site). PayPal is the payment processor/gateway. Anyone know where I could get my hands on a script like this ... or better yet does anyone have the couple lines of code laying around that may do this or something similar?

    You could always set up a counter in your database and update it everytime the processor is clicked. If you need help further let me know.

    but would the number click down AFTER the order confirmation... or as soon as the PayPal button is clicked?
