    Hi Everyone,

Ive been a DPer for a while and I've read about so many marketing techniques that I wanted to put them to the test while promoting my unique fundraiser found at FlashUsConan dot com. The idea of the website to begin with is very original, which helps when spreading the word. The goal of my fundraiser is to get, The Conan O Brien, to flash America to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. I can force him to flash us by making him a deal. The deal is if my fundraiser raises $50k, then I will let him choose which nonprofit organization will be the recipient of the funds if he flashes America. The way the fundraiser raises money is by having users simply sign up at a Corporate Sponsor's website (swagbucks). For every user that signs up with the Corporate Sponsor, $1 will be donated, hence 50k users = $50k. In addition, each user that signs up will have their facebook profile pic added to a book that will be delivered directly to Conan.

While promoting the fundraiser, I will share what daily or weekly tasks Ill be using to determine what is most effective. I will be using google analytics to track stats to the site. Its a pretty big goal to reach 50k users, but I feel its something that can be accomplished with a lot of hard work. Feel free to just follow along in my journey or share your thoughts/insights on what I can do better. Hopefully this can be an experiment where we learn together.

Tasks for Wednesday Nov 30th 2011:

    1. Post an invite to join the fundraiser to all of my 380 facebook friends
    2. Submit news tip to Mashable (my fav tech site)
    3. Post message on facebook
    4. Create thread on DP - even though this documents my progress, it also helps spread the word

    Tasks for this weekend:

    1. Contact 5 more social media blogs

I still havent seen a huge spike in traffic or money generated, but im going to keep chuggin along. If it were easy, everyone would have a successful site right? Here are my most recent stats:

    Funds Raised: $24.45
    Members: 21
    Alexa: 21,426,042

I actually havent submitted to digg, so here are my goals for Monday Dec 5th

    1. Submit to digg
    2. Submit to reddit
    3. Submit a press release (not sure through what channel yet. Ill search through DP to see what has worked for others).

And again, if you have any advice for me and my fundraiser, please let me know. thx
