Live Customer Feedback

    Hi There,

One of our customers sent us a link to an article a while back. This article discussed a company that allowed (anyone) to post feedback on their products and services. What was interesting was the feedback was put live onto the front page of the web site. Completely unedited.

It's something that sort of interests me, how would I go about achieving the same thing? I've got absolutely no idea where to even start looking. I was sort of thinking wiki's would be a good starting point. But I'm having trouble getting any sensible search results from Google.

Any ideas or pointers on where to look?

Hi - a blog would do this for you

    b2

    http://www.cafelog.com/

its free and it works well and is easy to install - to put it on your front page you may need to tweek things on your index page depending what you are using but basically make a "window" for it. :)

    http://www.24spy.com/

may give you an idea (this is a hosted service)

Basically you are looking at a form a db and a script to read out latest comments (I would probably put and editorial control in - just in case)

So you could either try to find something already developed or just use a small guestbook software / scripting and taylor it.

    best of luck

Excellent thanks all. Funnily enough the site in this article has no editorial control at all. Everything goes up. On their front page. They must be pretty confident of the services they offer!

They may have plugged in a conditioned "bad word" filter.

the story of that company who did that is in every SEO/SEM conference's slides... as well as "SEO for Dummies" book.

Point being... lots of quality copy and quality links pointing to it will get ya somewhere everytime.
