Certainly as more and more people start using IE7 and Vista which comes with Live.com as the default search tool. So, it might be worthwhile starting to take note of rankings in Live.com....
Thats interesting. Still i can never imagine using live.com over google. By fingers are now just too accustomed to typing google.com every time i need to find out something.
that's crap, google has local websites like .de, .uk, .jp, etc which are ranked separately by alexa if you add all that traffic for google, then live.com is far behind it
No Live is no way near, like rehash said, they have all their local search engines too. Go to Alexa and click on the to 500 list, count how many of Google's websites are in there. Then come back and tell use Live is catching Google .
yeah may be live.com is not that far behind google.com according to alexa but we cannot say that live search is not that far behind the whole google.
Okay, the comparison is between google.com and live.com - so if your website is based in the US, and you're targetting US customers then you may wish to pay attention to it. I still don't think live.com's results are anywhere near as good as Google's results, but obviously some people do! If live.com carries on as it is currently it'll overtake google.com in just a couple of months.
I don't know about web search, but I like the image, video, and especially book search at live.com very much. True, still using Google more.
You have to remember, google will always have more traffic than live.com Google has a whole bunch of different domain extensions from google.co.uk to the various other domains, so its traffic is a lot higher.
Live search is one of the worst search algorithms. They never return the info what u actually is looking for. I used it once or twice but been using google for a very long time.
alexa is not accurate at all live.com has crap results, for my term their are sites ranking top 5 with 10 crap back links total spam sites which should never even be indexed
