Hello, I'm in the process of setting up a business that i would like to offer the ability to live chat with my customers via my website. I've heard of LiveResponse by Kayako, and honestly, it seems to be the best i've seen and used (as a customer end) but are there any alternatives that are available? Any help would be appreciated.
I prefer Craft Syntax Live Help, www.craftysyntax.com If your hosting has installed cpanel, you can also find it through one-click Fantastico installation.
LiveHelp is probabley the most reliable free system available - I've had a few problems using it in the past, where clients couldn't see what I was typing, but that was a couple releases ago - I'm sure they got things ironed out by n ow.
LivePerson Contact center is what we use. We have tried everything from open source to low cost solutions, but you get what you pay for. While most people think Liveperson is expensive, its has proved extremely cost effective for us for it has integrated communication channels: > Live Chat > E-mail > Knowledgebase > Live call (customers can click from website to call your agent) If you are a serious e-commerce business, and looking to unlock real value out of live chat, we recommend Liveperson
We are using xooChat on all of our projects: http://www.xoochat.com/ It's free and allows unlimited domains and operators.
