Live Chat Question

I want to add live chat to my landing page.

When my visitors click the chat I want it to open and connect them to me. I don't want them to have to make an account or enter any kind of information. I just want the chat to launch and them be connected to me.

Anyone know of one I should be using?

I have used Meebo Chat and it has done me well so far with no issues.

Well I am a Joomla user and we use Olark chat. I think you can use it on normal HTML and probably is more compatible with other sites, but I'm not really sure. You can even use on Iphone, but visit their website and check features. We just love it and it is FREE for one user. You can check our website Houston Computer to see it in action. Here is the olark website http://www.olark.com/

Unfortunately I haven't got any experiences with live chat providers other than liveperson (and their services cost quite a bit so you're probably better off picking one from the previously suggested) but please make sure to program it in a way that your live chat button would be invisible when you're offline.

There's nothing more annoying than actually wanting to chat with a CS rep only to find that they're offline indefinitely. I've done this with one of my websites and it's actually rather easy: from what i've seen, most live chat gadgets work pretty similarly (displaying either the "live chat online" or "live chat offline" logo) so what you do is you simply replace the "live chat currently offline" logo with a transparent image containing a single pixel ;)

And believe me - it's better not to show your customers that you have live chat functionality than to advertise a not-so-live chat.

    Just my 2 pence worth.
