As I am looking to start up a live auction website, I need a few tips on promoting. I have purchased my script from telebidscript.com which cost me £499 for the premium. Obviously my main competition will be swoopo, so I need some tips on what would be the best way to earn a little side cash from the website such as adsense, click bank.. etc which would be the best one to use? I would also like to know how abouts can I go promoting this site taking into factor that swoopo has quite a lot of advertisements and banners in many well known websites. Also, roughly how much would it cost me to advertise in the particular sections you mention? thanks for your time to help me out
try to go low on advertising initially. Then once you have a solid reader base start including the ads one by one.
Start local and small then expand. You won't have much success if your visitors are from all over the place. Also figure out what you're going to do with people in different countries, Scammers, etc
You can more by selling banner ads at your site such as $100/month for top banner. Also you can try selling link at the main page for a certain price.
