Little Britain is an award-winning sketch show written and performed by David Walliams and Matt Lucas. There have been two radio series followed by three television series broadcast in primetime by the BBC. It has a huge following both in the UK and abroad. A fourth UK series is rumoured and the writers have confirmed they are working on converting the show for the US audience for HBO. A two-part Christmas Special is being shown on 26 December which will undoubtedly spark some more Little Britain-mania. In addition, Little Britain Live has become one of the biggest stage show comedy tours having been extended from the initial one month to over 14 months spanning the UK. Early next year, the show will be performed in Australia and a video game is confirmed for release in January 2007. If you need any more convincing about the massive phenomenon that is Little Britain and it's future, just check out it's wikipedia entry.

I'm selling a popular community fansite with a great domain, littlebritain.net. Unfortunately at the moment, the live tour has just finished, the tv series hasn't been shown for a few months and there's not much activity. So far we've had 3,300 posts in nearly 500 topics by over a huge 1,000 members. It has pagerank 3 at the moment but should rise quickly.

I've only owned the site for less than a month but I've put a lot of work into it. It's just a matter of needing a bit more time for the results of all the changes to start showing. I don't have that time since unforseen circumstances have forced me to sell as I need the money. For instance, it's been converted to a more SEO friendly forum software (vBulletin), a url rewriting mod (so urls contain forum/topic names) has been installed, I've paid for a custom skin to be created, added the site to a number of directories, optimized the keywords and meta descriptions, added the site to wikipedia's external links.

Traffic stats are impressive - over 1000 unique hits with nearly 10,000 pageviews in just two weeks. Unfortuantely revenue stats aren't much to speak of - only a $1.02 but the ads haven't been up that long. You might also want to install the ad placement mod for better visability - I've only had one wide skyscraper on the rhs of every page.

The forum runs on vBulletin and depending on the offers, I may or may not include a license. You get the whole site - the forums, the database, the custom pages, the unique Little Britain custom skin and the domain.

I realise that I'd probably get at least twice what I might get now if I waited for Little Britain to take off again (see first paragraph) but I do need to sell now.

I'd like to start with the minimum bid of $500 - that's what the second highest bid was when I originally bought the site myself.

    BIN: $1000

I need to sell this quickly so I've reduced the BIN to $850 and will
definitely include the owned vB license (worth $160). If no one buys, the
auction will end in 72 hours and the winner gets the site (but no license)
if the reserve has been met. (It hasn't been yet, btw). Thanks for your
interest and let me know if you want anything else.

Oh, and you don't need to worry about the links you don't need to do anything, they aren't paid.

The birthdays were for some reason all set to that date during the
conversion of the database for vBulletin. If it's a problem, they can be
    reset easily enough.

As for mods, there are none at the moment. When I bought it, there were a
few but inactive and were removed. There hasn't been a need for any new
    ones.

I'm tempted to not bother with the sale at the moment - there's only a few
more days till new episodes air and I'm sure that'll bring in a lot more
activity and make it a much more attractive purchase. Anyway, I'll just
    see how it goes.
