Little written content - relevant ads?

I just launched a new joke type of site. How do I get google to serve relevant ads when there is little written content?

I have tried the google comment tags but they arent working so well.

    And in closing:
    THE HOFF FOR PRESIDENT!

    Let's see:

    • Longer jokes
    • Add a summary of the joke
    • Proper SEO techniques (keywords in titles and headings, etc.)
    • Try to link to other related jokes and even other authoritative pages on the
same general topic as the joke
    • Make sure you have an alternate URL defined

    Hi there,

The only thing I don't understand is your last point:

Make sure you have an alternate URL defined.

    Please explain?
Thanks for the other tips tho.

Alternate URL is the facility that AdSense publishers can use to specify an alternate HTML page to display in the ad's spot when there is no ad available. It gets rid of PSAs and blank spots. Search the AdSense Help.
