Little Help

    Hi guys, just started up a little directory at - www.joseph.07-designs.com/phpLD

    is there anyway of easily adding categories or is it done all by hand?

    you can do it the unprofessioanal way and get a public released category dump, or you can do it the right way and go at it by hand:)

    have to agree with mikey manually adding and making a unique category structure is the way to go

    there are plenty free ones out there just do a search but believe me you will be better off doing it manually

    There is. I use one but I use an installer to set up the directories and think you should ask around at the phpld forum. Once its set up prune and customise it to suit. Its a lot easier and there is no need to complicate your life unnecessarily. Google has better things to do than to worry about your ugly child.

    If you decide using some "categories dump" make sure you change it as much as you can. You can still pretty much "customize" it.

    Never use a category dump as it is.

    Why the emphasis on "never"? We use a standard template and it doesn't seem to make much difference. I encourage our directory masters to adapt it and experiment with the add and edit functions but I don't see that its critical.
    Couldnt get past this error message. Is it an anti-spam feature? Bit of a pisser those.
