I'm not sure how, but my sound driver was somehow deleted from my home PC and I currently have no sound. In trying to find it online I keep finding it fro anywhere from $14.99 to $30.00. Is there somewhere I can just get it for free? I need it ASAP for training videos. Sorry if this is in the wrong local, still getting acclimated to the forum. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
sound driver deleted or sound contorl panel gone? do you know your current sounc card or if its attached to MB, the version?
It’s asking for the ‘HdAudio.sys’ on UAA Function Driver. I don’t have the installation disk anymore, it was lost in a recent move.
try to see if it'll show or let you install anything via "windows update" sometimes doing so and choosing custom updates will give you back the file. additionally if all else failed, and you're sure it is that file causing it, http://www.windll.com/sys/download-hdaudio-sys.php
