I had a person buy a domain on ebay. He used the buy it now with only a few hours left in the auction and no bids. The starting bid was only $20.00 with no reserve and the buy it now was $250.00. He then sent me an email stating he had bought over $1000.00 over the weekend and his paypal account was maxed. He was going to try to open a second account with a different email. within 2 hours he made a payment to my paypal account but is un verified. Called paypal and they tell me he is a new account with no history. What should I do? He is not in this country he is in Norway.I have not herd from him as to the transfer of the domain yet. Do you think it is a scam? Any help would be apperciated thanks.

Give him a holding peroid of 3/4 days. Tell him that you don't trust new members.

If he don't agree, then refund the money. You will be glad not selling to such a person.

Maxed as in ? Limited ? Or simply overspending ?

Paypal doesn't care whether you spend $1K or $10K over the weekend, as long as you have the funds to effect the transaction.

What is his e-bay feedback ?

It smells like a scam, check out eBay, there is a large list with all the different scams people use on eBay.

depends on the domain. Is it worth the risk?
