Little Forum management help

    Hi,

    I am opening a vbulliten forum. I have a question.

    Should I make the forum the home page e.g http:/forum.com
    Or should I do it like http://forum.com/forum with the index page being a simple page which says Enter site or enter forum.

    i am not opening a site at the moment, but later I will.

    What is better, I need tips and suggestions.

    Do you hate visiting sites with a page that says 'Enter Site'? Don't do it.

    A plain portal page has not in my experience provided any SEO bennies.

    If you are using 4.0 just use the cms for an entry page. This will also keep you from needing to seperate the forum into its own directory.
