Just wondering if paying someone to list your site on thousands of directories, is worth it. Do they really help with google search results? Are there any negatives??
No, These types of services can help but it's not very likely. If you are trying to increase your PR or SERPs then your wasting your time, getting links from random websites will not help you. It is better to contact a couple of websites similar to yours and see if they are willing to exchange links with you. Google likes this kind of linking. The higher their PR/SEPRs the better. This is just my experience.
