We are nearing completion of a new site, www.GraduationCardsShop.com, and are very eager, as everyone is, to get it listed in all the major search engines. Will someone please give me a quick list of the major search engines we should included first.

I know I have seen many lists like this before, but, unfortunately, I did not save them.

And, if anyone has any helpful hints, I would certainly appreciate them. Thanks, in advance for your assistance.

Webmasters no longer list with searchengines. Get a link to your page from a web that gets spidered frequently. After a set number of posts you will have the right of having a signature in this forum. Be sure to place your link in signature. Then go to work on other link building.

The main directory is DMOZ. As soon as your site is completely optimized list with DMOZ. I do not list with paid directories. There are plenty of free ones out there. Most people do not use directories when searching. 90% of all your traffic will come from Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Since graduation is just around the corner so to speak you need to get your site online asap or else you will miss the opportunity to sell cards in 2005.

    Good luck,
    Shannon

No problem. Some of them are specifically for forums but a lot of "standard" directories are on that list too.
