    Hi there guys,

I have a website and now I see it's listed in Dmoz under weblogs.
I haven't submitted it nor my partner.

Do they do it on their own or someone suggested me?

    Thanks
    Alex

Most/many editors completely ignore the suggested urls. Many of those actually hunt down worthy sites to be listed, and list them.

I'd assume you have a friend that is an editor (and don't know it) or your blog is worth reading ;)

    What's it's link?

Something like 70% of website which I have listed while I was editor I were suggested by the public.

Of course when I take over a category, there are plenty of links to work through.

    That's good stuff!
I didn't know this when I got listed, but many other directories will pick you up and list you at random, as well as directories that are DMOZ Powered.
Especially if you have it translated.
    Congratulations

As former editors, maybe you can give us a good idea on a safe amount of time someone should wait before resubmitting a site, so it wouldn't be considered spamming and if it's a good idea to submit to different categories using different urls from your site, if you have different categories of content in your website.

I have always wondered that too.
If I have different categories, do I have to be content to be listed in just one?

Honestly, between an hour and two years.

I have taken over categories and found submissions from a year or two ago right up to submissions that occurred that week. It all depends if there is an editor that is paying attention or not.
