I'm using the SEO for firefox plugin, it shows my site listed in dmoz. But can't find a trace of it using DMOZ search?

Anybody have a similar glitch or know of a better way to search?

i think I submitted it, but not sure.

You can check for an ODP listing by using our search for domain.tld without any http or www prefixes (eg google.com).

The search works from the most recent RDF data dump, not the live directory, so it can be a week or so out of date. The live directory is more accurate - but you'd need to know the category.

I submited my sites to DMOZ about 6 months ago, I still can't find them in their search. I'm assuming they still are not registered.

me facing the same issue for a couple of websites in dmoz. It is showing as listed when i search through seo firefox plugin and when i click it to see the actual listing in dmoz it shows two other websites in dmoz who have my website url in their dmoz included page. Does this benefit my websites? if yes then to what extent?

Search using Google for your site, it tends to update faster then the ODP search. In fact, it works faster then Google updates it's own clone of the project... lol.

Though Jim is correct. The best thing to do is simply check the actual category.

There are a few reasons it's not showing up though...
    * there is the possibility that it was put in, the plugin updated, then it was removed and the plug in just needs to update again to reflect the new change.
    * You are on something like livejournal where livejournal.com is listed, but yourname.livejournal.com is not. (as in livejournal.com is listed, but qryztufre.livejournal.com is not). The same applies to many free sites like blogspot, geocities, etc as well.
