Hello all, I was hoping that I could receive some recommendations for a web based professional SEO companies (meaning not your friend who does it on the side, or a company that just started 6 months ago, or a company that uses black hat methods, or any other methods that will get your site penalized by Google) that some of you all have used or those you have heard great things about. Basically I'm looking for companies that allow regular site owners to give them a keyword that they wish to appear at the top in, such as Google/Yahoo/Bing..etc., and pay an affordable service fee. So I'm hoping this word of mouth method works better than trying to search through thousands of SEO companies that appear on Google and trying to perform tons of background research for each company, and hopefully this thread comes in handy for others.
