    I am also with a some individual programs which pay well.

    Their are 1000 of affiliate programs on the net. I think you should join a affiliate network. and choose program as suitable to your site.

    Yes, you should choose the ones that have good payout. You should not compromise on payouts.

    I've tried most of them, 5%, 10% even 15% sometimes.. but it's peanuts to me.. I hate the waiting game, some of them deduct chargebacks from you etc.. it's garbage in my eyes. The only program I have had insane success with is the ifriends one below, no chargebacks commisions start at $40 up to $80 and with weekly payouts u can't beat it. SUPER easy to get people to sign up, try myspace :)
