    I am doing some research on traits of successful affiliate marketers like: hard worker, technical knowledge, patience, etc. I would like people to chime in with their own ideas.

    Don't build a site to make money - build a site that will be of genuine interest to users. You can monetise it later.

    I agree, if you make a site just for money then you may loose interest with it and your site will go down hilll before you know it. Make a site for passion, but also because it will earn some extra money. If you have some passion in your niche then you are more likely to work harder on your site, making it a success.
