I thought I'd make a list of writers offering their services here on DP, so buyers can compare and cherry pick with ease. If you're interested in joining the list, please post with your per-word rate, your website or freelance profile, how long you've been a writer for and your expertise or favorite type of content (SEO writing, press releases, tech writing, etc). I will edit the post and add you guys. Don't be afraid to enter the list if you have lower or higher rates than everyone else. That's the whole point, giving buyers some variety. I'll go: Tudi - RAC Profile - Experience 4 Years - RPW $0,05 - SEO writing specialization Since this is not a "services" thread per say, I didn't think I should fit it under buy/sell. Please let me know if it's not appropriate.
I will add you but please post under the template: Name - Link to profile/blog/service site - Experience (years) - Rate per word - Specialization Thanks I'll post your blog under the link and I calculated your RPW to $0.0075
You're going to get the standard set of idiots who charge $0.001 per word... The Content Creation section is a decent place to start for any buyer - all rates are usually mentioned, and upon starting a topic you'll get a decent amount of replies. As for my rates... I charge between $0.1 - $0.3 a word, depending on what the topic is and how lazy I'm feeling
lol... Yeah, it's a bit hopeless trying to get people to post anything specific in a thread. They just don't pay attention.
Hello Maira (sp?). Nice to have you here on the forums. Unfortunately this thread didn't work out like it should have To get exposure on your offer, you can post in the Trade forums under the Content subsection. However, note that you need to be 14 days old on the forum to be able to do so. Best!

If you think it's obnoxious I will edit. It's just really hard to put it all in a nutshell after 20+ years of doing this. Just edit out what you don't need.
Not at all webgal. Very nice resume you have there, congrats . It's just that I can't edit the initial post Sorry.
I wont write rates. As sometimes they depend on kind of input i need to put. However, count me in the list of writers I can provide samples when required. PM if interested.. Hey Tudi...good start.. let us see how many really want to enlist themselves..
Nice idea but where are you going to publish it ? I think you should start a new thread with an external link to a page that you can update as you receive new requests. (IMHO)
Let all the writers come along, and then make a post with all of them. Or ask a moderator to edit the first post.
I have been proofreading and sub-editing for more than ten years, and writing as a business for around 2-3 years, though I have been writing my own academic papers for longer than that. I write for ten cents per word upwards, with my best gigs being considerably more than that. For this reason I don't come on dp much, as the work going is generally low paid. I am currently getting my own blogs going, or will be when I have got this round of exams over. I specialise in science and travel. I have travelled widely, as well as having lived and worked in a number of countries, such as Japan, Sweden and France. I am currently studying for an MPhys at a UK university. You can probably tell I am British due to the spellings in this post - though I can write in American English as well ... One of my upcoming projects will be to write a series of blog posts about nuclear power, due to the fact that the UK government are actually planning on bringing it back. I'm also planning articles about CERN, Geneva. Oh, and I also write about the internet - right from the first ideas of DARPA and the connecting together of a couple of mainframes, to Web 2.0. Life is interesting, and writing especially so.
I think acronyms count for each letter. Let's make that a rule. If you say WAHM, for work-at-home-mom, I say that the acronym counts as 4 words.
Hi there - Let's see... a well researched, edited, and fact-checked original article takes a good writer about 1.5 - 2 hours to produce. Let's say you type really fast, and you are exceptionally smart and can produce 1 every hour. That would mean that you are working for $16 a day, if you are selling "all rights" with the article. $16 a day is $480 a month. Hmmmm. How can you live on that? - Scott
