news: Hotfile changes its affiliate rules. Definitely not for PPD uploaders. It is interesting, however, that HF still seeks for the ways to operate in the market and, actually, considers the following method viable: Hotfile’s Affiliate Program is a revenue sharing program. An affiliate earns money when a file that they have uploaded results in the purchase of a premium account by a downloader. Payment is calculated based on a percentage of the total value of premium accounts purchased by users who download the affiliate’s uploaded files. Affiliates begin by receiving 25% of the premium account sales they generate. This percentage increases by 5% for every 10 premium account sales that are generated, resulting in a maximum of 50% of each premium account sale payable to the affiliate. In addition, they are very strict abt copyright material. On the first DMCA notice they issue a warning and advice you to remove the files that in your opinion may infringe the copyright. The second DMCA notice would result in termination of their affiliate program for you (but you still have your account). The third (and the last) notice would result in termination of your account. well... nothing interesting I guess, but I just thought this info belongs to this thread
BUT WHERE OUR MONEY AND OUR REFERRALS HAVE GONE ???????? IF THEY didn't returned them I will consider HOTFILE a big SCAM
would they be a bigger scam than others lol?))) kicking off affiliates' asses is a "good fashion" nowadays

A russian owns hotfile? a bit surprised there. always though of it as an American host I don't recall them being down
Anyone know the best way I can remote upload from one of these working file host to another? I'm currently using a mix of depositfiles (main), turbobit and filevelocity. I also want to add freakshare in there but I'm not sure how their remote upload works yet (rapidshare only it seems). I've tried directransfer.net but this was not very helpful. I was able to log in fine, but I had no FTP uploads available, so it wasn't possible to transfer from one FTP server to the other. I've also tried using username: password@domain/file/. I'm not sure I'm doing this one correctly, because I keep erroring it out. Can anyone give me a tip?
if u want the best look at my signature, server are based on tongas kingdom (pacific) and they are baning us coming traffic
Yes, Turbobit blocking US traffic. You'd think, being 10% the traffic of Oron, they'd be more risk-positive Extabit is still up, and I am doing pretty well with it, at least in terms of sales. They were also, at last posting by their rep, being evaluated by PP. I am too new to get paid, or not, but I noticed I am getting sales thru PP, so that's a good sign. I really like HF's idea of issuing a warning on first DMCA complaint. That seems a small trade-off to ask in return for the certainty of staying in business for the long run.
Just a heads up that userporn have now closed their official thread over at wj - no one has been paid and the site no longer updates properly - admin is not responding. Although many people already suspected this host was going down, I guess there's no doubt anymore. I just removed all my files and changed my details (email - payment email etc) in case they sell their user database to a spam ring or similar - as far as I can tell there's no way to actually close a userporn account. Best advice - do what I did while you still can.
