    ul.to says

    Dear Customer,

We carry out maintenance work short.

We are right back to you.

hope its not serious with them too... may be its just because they try to meet the current demand.
I left FSC abt a year ago (as they did not really count downloads well) and moved to ul.to... its was a good time (although I am a very passive uploader)... they had good speed for free user 100-500kbps but now it dropped to 50-60kbps.
on the other side, they might have decreased the speed hoping to grab some nice handful of premium sales at once:)

Another thought is that I fear they will be taken down too as they seem to be the last hope of uploaders.
...this anticipation makes me feel uncertain, unsecured, and unhappy each time I upload new stuff... thats about one or two new links 3 days or so...

    EDIT:
they are back:) however the speed remains very slow...

Yeha but ul.to have blocked the usa, so since that's where most of the valuable traffic comes from it kinda makes it a bit pointless. Plus their rates for affiliates are utter crap, plus they charge you 20% of your earnings just for the privilege of getting paid out. Frankly they can shove it up their arses.

Yes,you are right, but ul.to ppd plan seems the best now a days.I always prefer hosters ,which have both pps and ppd plan.
content-cooperation.com seems good, but only pps plan....

    P.S.
I need a good filehost to share legal content, but now the choice is very hard.

when FSC reached the peak of popularity the PPS affiliates suffered from extreme lack of sales, sometimes getting only 1-2 sales a month. They tried to insist on rebills but it was already too late as the major mass of premium users have already been attracted earlier. Opting to PPD wasn't a good choice at FSC as it was known that many downloads never showed in stats [from my tests, I posted part1 of an archive on FSC and part2 on MU, so... you know, FSC showed some 300 downloads whereas MU recorded almost 1500 downloads (who needs part2 w/o part1?). Anyway, FSC was still the best compared to other hosts, so I just kept the results of this test with me]. Back to the issue... when PPS guys were opting to PPD it was a big torture for them to see and actually miss another one or two sales popping up, they would then switch back to PPS upon the 7-day expiry and bite their elbows feeling so frustrated because of no freaking sales again.... with the 50/50 plan you would lose too much in downloads and have no confidence in having some stable number of sales. The situation was worsened by the fact that FSC became a good and profitable target for rapidleechers ... bang, sales dead and downloads dead. (I dont know how, but ORON managed to safeguard their affiliates from rapidleechers except for a few cases). And here is where the idea of Wupload was more than convinient. Simple: WU announced better download rates , including Hong Kong, and a crazy Promo; when uploaders transmitted their files to WU the company very soon obliged them to buy premium to safeguard the files from that 30-day clause; Now WU had fresh income from both affiliates and new premium users (same files, same affiliates, same user market, a "different" filehost lol). A perfect money printing machine:) They actually knew WU would very soon become as "obsolete" as FSN, so closing it soon was part of the idea.....

back to the issue... so I just want to say that ul.to has the most well-balanced awards system and I fully agree with marhahajcs above. You dont have sales? no problem your downloads count:) You got sales? - wow what a nice bounty:). You just got both at once, not too much, not too little - but every single day your balance increases (if you spend some energy indeed) and you dont spend days and weeks seeing that shit ZERO in earnings. You are even get paid if someone "steals" your files (within ul.to system). Nice, no torture. The per download rates are quite nice and competitive (considering that its in EUR). Yep the sales rate is low fixed at EUR3, +EUR1 rebills, but if you have a nice amount of content to share the sales and downloads will be filling each other. Also ul.to allows only one file per hour, which is good to suggest users to buy premium. So I think ul.to is okay so far.

    I only hope it survives....

I did some tests a while back and these were my findings.. for every 1000 downloads at RS, I would get around 200 downloads at MU.. I even wrote them about it. Since it was much easier to download from MU and they counted so few but they had a lot of exceptions unlike RS which counted every completed download from free and premium users and every country. Thats a lot of exceptions for MU.I have gotten 10000 downloads at MU on some files, Like a few dozen, The highest I ever got at FSC was 20.. Yep, same file and same place to post it at.. There were a few dozens files with over 3000-5000 downloads at MU but ended up at less than 10 at FSC over a period of few months. FSC said I got like 500 points which was like 50000 downloads total on the entire collection, which was like less than the top 3 files at MU and FSC paid for like 300 of them.. MU actually ended up paying less even though it had 10 times the number of downloads. many times I wondered why I even bothered with FSC if I was getting such low number of downloads... I would instantly get 10 times as much with RS even if they never paid anything and most people hated them then. But it made you feel good that people actually downloaded it. Seeing something get downloaded a few hundred times compared to like 5 is worth a lot more than money. Majority of files never even showed a single download at FSC. They did not count last access if it did not get a valid download count. IE people might have downloaded it 50 times but it still got deleted because it did not make any money.I can see why RS stopped paying. They were accurately counting downloads and it was ending up costing them a bundle... MU had loopholes to get around it. Not counting files over 100MB and such.. So I would think there are no hosts that accurately give you a count of the true number of downloads. The most accurate would be the number of sales.. But even that is not 100% and I would think they dont count more than half of them but its much harder to hide.. The number of sales I see did drop a lot from the RS days. But not like the download counts. So I think the real number of downloads were not going down at all. Every 1000 or so downloads would bring in a sale. FSC also used the same statistics to plan their payouts. They never ended up losing because they knew the odds. They played it well though.

damn sharerun is a huge red flag then with that IP in the US. Thanks a lot!

I've been looking to move onto a new file hosting service with a good affiliate program (used to use filesonic), but I've realistically had no luck. I'm trying out depositfiles and hotfile right now but hotfile seems like such shit giving me only 1 upload at a time and their remote upload program is a big question mark too. So I'm looking for another option outside of depositfiles, which is why I'm trying sharerun and bulletupload. Anyone have any other suggestions? I plan on using remote upload so programs with good remote upload would be awesome.

in addition to bulletupload you may try dopeshare.com its (also in Romania)
they dont have PPD but here is what they propose (interesting):
You can promote your website or make some money by showing ads on file's download page. Just register and start uploading.

they provide an empty space for a banner of your choice. They also offer 100%sales earnings (well....LOL)

hey.....be careful with all those lil filehosts, just an advice;)

For me, HF always paid the best. 3 or 4 times more than anyone else (ppd). Trouble is, get 2 complaints (even if they're 12 months apart) and its curtains.

I think the remote upload quota is linked to your rank - I recently uploaded over 800 200mb+ files in a 12 hour period.

And just fyi, I dont have a HF account anymore - banned again :( lol
