I'm not going to give a list of forums because that seems unfair, but I'll explain what I do when I want backlinks from a forum. Grab Firefox, install SEOQuake, then start entering queries into Google. Your best bet is to think outside the box, such as ""Vacation to Paris" forum" or ""Tour Paris" forum". Entering "Travel Forums" into Google will only net you so many good results.
