Hi, Does anyone have a reference to getting a higher page rank on Google? I know it isn't an exact formula or science. I know you need links from high ranking websites and content. But has anyone from say a level 4 or 5 website just said, "Ok, this is what I did and how long it took me. I wrote this many articles for each website, and I did this and that." Or is there a way we can compare notes? I was looking for references on Google but I keep running in to "get your link listed with PR4 websites". Not what I wanted.
Get more links. Each link will pass a certain amount of PR ... more links = more PR. It isn't a logarithmic scale though ... a PR4 isn't twice as hard to get as a PR3 ... it's much much harder. Having said that, here's why pagerank doesn't matter
I understand why it doesn't matter. I really do, but my advertisers ask for this information. I mean they can see it for themselves, but when I network with sponsors and advertisers, part of my 'appeal pitch' includes the page rank. If I don't tell them, they will often ask. (Dyson and Delta faucet and other top sponsors didn't but you know, mid-range companies and some PR folks check that out.) So it's only important to me only for connecting with sponsors and having something to 'show off'. I'm regularly working with higher ranking websites and making efforts to post great content with them along with links back to my own website. It takes time. Thanks for the link.
On NPR they spoke of some complex formula Google uses (I know this is not the most helpful). Anyways you might check there. Really DoA has it right!!! lol
build backlinks... you will get traffic from it also.. because someone will catch your link and open it.. update your site regularly... so people will come back to your site often (you make regular visitor) submit articles to article directory that have do follow.. It will give you traffic... Good luck for your work regards
People always say backlinks, but linking to individual pages from new posts also helps a lot. I have a site that jumped from a pr1 to pr3 on last update using this technique alone.
If you want to get high PR in Google ( Google Page Rank ) then you should to increase your backlink. It will increase your PR automatic !
Get more quality back links. Do forum posting and blog commenting in high pr forums site or blogs site.
There is nothing as such Quality Backlinks, a link is a link in the eyes of the search engine! Yes ofcourse backlinks from high PR sites will definitely affect your sites PR. Generate as many number of links possible in order to increase your site's PR.
I figured out that I need back links. I was trying to find a general formula. For example, someone mentioned on another thread that if you post 2,000 links at a PR4 level, you may get a PR5 or if you post 2 PR 6 links you could also get a PR5. I'm not saying this is "the" formula. What I was looking for, I guess, was someone relating his story on how he managed to get a PR 5 or PR 6 website, how long it took him, what he did, etc. Just me being curious for a case study.
