My website still isn't getting listed in Google and I can't figure out if I've been penalized or what. But this is a short list of what I've done so far: 1. Generated sitemap and submitted to Webmaster (accepted) 2. Submitted URL directly to Google 3. Built half a dozen links from high PR websites 4. Good META data 5. index, follow I figure it's been about six weeks and I'm still not listed. I've had blogs that have been indexed within a week of being created. Am I being penalized for not having any true content on the page? I'm in the other search engines. Any help would be appreciated. Thnx! The site is http://www.pimpmyspace.com
Well, have you setup a robots.txt file? I personally use that instead of the meta robots tag, it can also point to your sitemap. You might want to review: http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/2005/01/03/how-to-determine-if-your-site-is-banned-in-google
This might be your problem... If your not Louis, Maby he did something to get the domain blacklisted! You should always check the history of domains before you buy them etc... So you will have to ask google for reincludsion. I'm not sure how that works. Good luck Still a awesome domain though probably gets lots of type ins.
Domain name age isn't as big a factor as you're making it out to be. Hang on, I'll see what I can find out about this... And I do have to agree with Dollar here - something's not right. I can't find any indexed pages in Google for this site, with or without the .www subdomain.
