Nothing wrong with building link wheels, you just need to put a bit of extra effort in, stop with closed-wheels and look into open-wheels, mix it up a bit and add some random pages here and there, this'll keep the links good, if you just like 1->2->3->4->5->6->1 then you won't be getting any decent results from it..
