List of latin guitarists

I can't remember the actual style of the type of guitar playing.

But, I do remember back in the 90's there was a guy who was considered the best in the world. People said about him "this guy plays like he's making love to his guitar".

It's the fast rhythm type of guitar playing on acoustic guitars with percussion. No singing. Fully instrumental.

Rats, I was hoping you were PROVIDING a list.

I'm not really up on Latin players. Paco Delucia is good; he's done a lot of stuff with John Mclaughlin. Esteban, too - despite Geico commercials and a near-disastrous time shilling super-cheap guitars on infomercials.

People forget that Charo first gained fame as a flamenco guitar player; they just think she was a wacky foreign actress on Love Boat.

There - you've just exhausted my entire fund of knowledge about Latin guitar players.

The only person who comes to mind is Carlos Santana. Oh, and Dave Navarro...

 

I know of one... His name is Kenny Nieves, he is ridiculous... he plays in West Palm Beach at Blue Martini in Downtown West Palm Beach. He has a flock, a deep flock that comes out to hear him play.
