Hi everybody, I am looking for a website that lists different forums based on their general topic. The one that I already use is: http://www.big-boards.com/ It is very useful but it doesn't have a lot of forums that I find in Google with search. Does anybody knows a more comprehensive resource?
Would you like to spend days just to check every forum listed in there allow dofollow signature?.. If not, then go ahead and check this 300 dofollow forums down below.. I have gone through big boards during my research and it's a pain in my @$$ to browse them all... most big forums does not allow signatures..
just have to check all of the forums and I have seen a huge boost in signature marketing on forums when I was skeptical at first. It is a great way to build up a lot of links with anchor text and will help you learn more about your niche and brand you website in the mean time.
Well, My problem is out of each 10 forums I find 9 of them would not allow promotion of a link. I am just looking for a list of forums to have a better success rate.
Well, Here I found another subject with the same theme: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1006727

Links which search engine spiders will follow and links which they will not follow. You don't get any benefit from a no follow link because the spider doesn't end up on your site.
Yes DP is do follow. Many forums are do follow just remember to read the rules of each forum as far as linking in the signature. Forum links have some value as far as SEO but not a lot, they also can trickle in some traffic here and there.
If you use Firefix, install this plugin... http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/seo-for-firefox.html When it's active, all no follow links are shown in red, much easier to see.

If you're in non-IM niches you can always do a Google search on: yourkeywordoryourniche powered by vbulletin or yourkeyword phpbb Vbulletin and phbb are two popular scripts that forums run on, so just do a search on your niche and add vbulletin or phpbb to the search string and you'll bring up forums that you can check out within your niche.
