    Okay, sorry if this is a stupid thing to ask- but commenting and leaving your URL on a do-follow PR5 blog is like buying a text link from a PR5 website? (I FEEL stupid asking this, but I'm genuinely wondering)

    kinda. but finding a revelant PR5 blog to comment on is not that easy (depending on niche, of course), and don't forget that paid links are often site-wide.

    My blog www.cyanide.blogsite.org (tech blog) is also a "dofollow" blog.
    It also uses the "CommentLuv" wordpress plugin, which means you're latest blog post is displayed at the bottom of your comment automatically.

    Do you use linkylove? Cuz the 2 places where i checked the comments, they were nofollow.

    I'm curious as to how one would know if comments are do-follow or no-follow.
    Obviously, in this case 2 of them were erroneously reported as do-follow.
    Anyone have a quick easy way to ascertain the difference?

    Thanks.

    Yes... download the Stylish plugin for firefox, and use the following global style sheet:
    a[rel~=nofollow] {
    background-color: pink !important;
    color: black !important;
    font-weight: normal !important;
    text-decoration: underline !important;
    border-style: solid !important;
    border-top-width: thin !important;
    border-bottom-width: thin !important;
    border-right-width: thin !important;
    border-left-width: thin !important;
    }
    Code (markup):
    this will give a thin black box with a light pink inside of the nofollow links on every website... so then look at the comment name and if it ain't pink with a black box around it, then you're golden.

    just look if there is a rel="nofollow" attribute on the link

    secondly, i'm curious now - Yahoo seems to count nofollow's as inlinks... does yahoo disregard nofollow?
