Aviva has put together a nice list of web directories ranked via Page Strength. PageStrength looks at the following criteria when ranking a site: Google PageRank, Links to the Home Page, Links to the Domain, Google Ranking for Site Title, Domain Age, Links from .edu sites and .gov sites, Alexa Rank, Domain Visibility, Internal Linking, Technorati Links, del.icio.us results, DMOZ listings and Wikipedia Links. Awesome, I checked the Page Strength for my directory, Linkspub and got a 4. Can I get Linkspub added to this list too. thx
adnan, What list are you trying to add to? This isn't a new list. It is just this list reprinted here, but only the top half of it. In fact, I'm not sure why the original poster needed to post this, since most of us know this list and have it bookmarked already.
hi portprophecy. I was talking bout the list at aviva. I went to his site and emailed him asking if he could add mine. take care
No problems. From your first post, it seemed as if you were asking Checkrankings to add you to the list. Just making sure you knew who was maintaining the offical list. Have a great day!
don't forget this one. http://www.seomoz.org/tools/page-strength.php?url=www.top100bloggers.com/directory/ a nice strong 6
You know, one thing I noticed about the pagestrength tool. it gives emphasis to .edu, .gov, technorati, wikipedia and delicious links. Well a site in china maybe great but is quite unlikely to get .edu or .gov links. And actually, I never heard of technorati before in my life and don't know if wikepedia or delicious links increase the value or visibility of a site. Things like age of a domain, links to a site I think may be helpful but I don't know about the rest.
http://botw.org is "page strength" 8, not 6 - look at the original list to confirm. Well, Technorati is one of the largest sites online, and either Wikipedia and/or de.licio.us will definitely increase both the value and/or visibility of your site.
