Hi, let's say that I have a big list, I have 100,000 people in my list (I know that this is a lot), they signed up for free, and I give them great content, they know, like, and trust me, now I send out an email promoting a $27 product, how many of the 100,000 should I expect to buy? Now I have another list that also has 100,000 people, but for this one, to get into my list, they had to buy a product, or the membership, for $27, I give them content, and they know, like, and trust me, now I send out the same email promoting the $27 product, how many of the list of buyers should I expect to buy? How much more should I expect in the list of buyers comparing to the list that they got everything, and all of the content for free?

    Thank You!

Depends a lot on the quality of traffic to your site that created the list.
Also how stale the list is (how long ago since they signed up)
And how engaging the mailout is.......

    Lots and lots of factors.....

yah, i agree with couponmeup it definately depends on more factors and situations than these. you have to take other factors into consideration such as demographics, ratio of men to women etc could be a factor

There are so many factors involved it would be hard to give you a correct number.

For the first assumption, the rate may be less than 1%,but it still can be determined by the quality of the contents you provided.
As to the last assumption,I think it's very difficult for you to gain $25 when they sign up.Do you think your website has this power
to gain that amount? So I think the latter one should be overlooked. And let focus on the former one.

Thanks for your replies! But let's say that all if the factors that are invonlved are the same, I don't want an exact number for THIS, I just want to know how much more powerful a list that people have to buy a product to get in is, comparing to the 1st one's type. Any ideas?

    Than you!

Oh, and they don't have to pay to sign up, they have to buy a product that is mine to sign up.

    Thank you!

1 % is great number for 100,000 peoples. You will make a lot of money if your customer regularly purchase your services.
