List of active article directories

I don't want to know the list of the top 10 article directories or such but I do want to know what are the active article directories. I mean, sometimes I found my new article was still in the editor's review desk for 20-30 days. This is annoying. Can I know article directories who are frequently updating their sites?

Mate, I know ezinearticles. But I want to know the other (at least 19) article directories who update their database once every 2-3 days.

*One more: those article directories must allow us to put our back links properly.

I have list of hundreds article directories but most of them are crap.

I have an article directory that I approve 10 new articles or so each day.

I also reject over 80% of submissions for not following the guidelines (ie the articles have to be in readable english and any live links should be kept to the about author section as well as being limited to 2 outgoing links).

In fact, it is probably 10-15% of the articles that I approve as if there are too many submissions from the same author at the time, I arbitrarily delete some of them before approval.

The article site is www.ad-matrix.net , although it isn't something I am actively promoting as I am busy on other websites that I am trying to get started in the new year.

Thanks, I'll try it. Some people say it's better to submit our article to many article directories (after we change each article, of course) but I see it'll be wasteful because most of them are not active.

edited: your article directory is not working properly when I click "submit"...sigh

We've increased our moderators on ArticleGOLD recently and when things are settled hopefully we can achieve a 2-3day approval rate. This is no easy task and I understand why so many directories are having trouble in their article reviews.

We get around 200-300 articles submitted each day and its no fun reading through all the auto-submits, bad re-writes, etc.

Need to get that damn backlog down....

Are you sure? two weeks ago I ever submitted my article to your article directory but it seems my article was placed in a moderator review for a week. I decided to submit that article to somewhere else then

Yes, hence increase in staff as it was getting out of control.

But give us some time before you try us again if you like as I can understand the frustration of having an article sit in review for weeks.

OK. Anyway, after doing some reviews, I think there are only around 8-9 good article directories who are updating their database quite often. The most rubbish article directory I think is 1888articles, they want us to pay them if we want to put our link.

iSnare has a good list. And they'll submit the article for $2 to their entire network. The last article I submitted got picked up by several sites within about 2 weeks, and I'm still seeing sites posting it.

Are you sure? Isnare said they have thousands of article directories list and I think most of them already dead. Sorry to say this but I don't believe there are thousands of "good" article directories these days.

I just emailed my server host - and looks like they were already working on it - as it didn't load initially, but does load now.

My advice is if you do find a decent amount of active article directories, then it may be worthwhile having maybe 3-4 versions of your article and submitting each version to a few article directories. It means it will not be every article directory that receives a unique article, but more along the lines of each article would appear in 25% of the article directories.

You would also be correct in saying that there are not 1000s of good article directories. Many webmasters start an article directory and think all they need to do it set it up to receive automated content and then it will make them money. While other webmasters find out that they are not making great returns, they just leave it and move on to another project and check in occasionally.

I agree. But for $2 my last article is showing up on about 30 sites right now in Google. So I'm happy with the results. $2 for 30 backlinks that are recognized by Google is definately worth it as far as I'm concerned.

Can I know what are those 30 sites? And ISnare are just contributing article without rewrite each of your article, right? All the other 29 links will be filtered in the near future.

OK thanks. But what I am looking for is a list of ACTIVE article directories, NOT only article directories. Read this:
