Anybody here doing list building with freebies? What is the expected income per subscriber from this?

Freebies are really low quality. Dependso on a value of those but in general I would go with coupons/discounts as this yields bigger roi per subscriber.

    Thanks,

Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by coupons/discounts? Using them as free gift?

Yup, there is plenty of website where those are available.

    Thanks,

You could check out Hostgator coupons, where you are able to create customized coupons for your list. Freebies are still important, but ultimately, your subscribers must feel that they are getting value out of your emails and not just some lengthy info.

It really depends on what you do with that "freebie" list to be honest.

I've built a list with offering someone a "freebie" course that was a pre-requisite to the webinar I held...this helped my conversion rates because I gave them actionable content prior to me upselling them on my course.

I think everybody agrees that buyer lists are better but you can separate them later :)...that's my 2 cents!

I suggest first to get traffic to Opt-In page, get poeple to subscribe to your list and then drive traffic to the Money page.

That's so true. Get them on board first then do the rest later. However, do make sure that your freebies are not some lengthy bullshit.

A genuine freebie that provides a useful function and is not loaded with adware/spyware is a true gem these days. Offer that to your site visitors and you should have no problem getting them to come back and buy from you. Courses and webinars with email invitations are awesome, btw.
