    Hello dear DP members,

I would like to ask you do you have your own mailing list and does it work for you? How did you build it, how much subscribers do you have and how much money do you make with it? I had a great experience with my own mailing list but what about you?! Do you use viral list builders and which one?

    Thanks!

You know, I started a list and ended up deleting it and quitting Aweber. Maybe I just don't have the patience for list building. I also don't like handing out freebies to a lot of freebie seekers who never buy anything.

I did have a "buyers list" from plr ebook products and plugins I sold, but most buyers hate being bothered with offers outside of what they purchased.

Today I get my kicks and make good money with ppc. :)

How do you make money with PPC? Do you promote CPA offers or something else?

List building is working for me, I've built a list of 5,000 subscribers so far and use it to sell Solo Ads, which is currently making me about $1500 per month. I'm still scaling this business, and expect to reach the $100/day within the next 4 weeks.

I'm also building a more relationship-driven email list where I promote 2 different products I've created, this is making about $300-$400 per month currently, just using traffic from various swap partners.

List building can work, but it takes, time, investment and of course hard work!

Once you have build a list, you have an asset as you can generate traffic on demand. It also allows you to survey your list to find out what they want, and then give them that information, in the process you can make a great income and help people out :)

I find that over time it's hard to tell what the best method is for gaining attention from the public. Methods have to be discussed on such a regular basis simply because our world changes by the second.

You have to build a list. You need a way to follow up with people who don't buy on the first visit.

You’ve given the subscriber an incentive to sign up for your list, but now you need to provide an incentive for them to stay there. If they don’t have an incentive to remain on your mailing list, they’ll unsubscribe after they get their bonus sign up information. So why not it will work.

I've a list of 750 which isn't that good. But it doesn't work for me. I think I've to keep building my list in order to make in profitable in future.

So with a list of 750 subscribers you're not having any results? Seems like you should see some results at this point providing you're building the relationship and giving valuable information for the niche you're in.

Lists are just like Twitter and Facebook friends. If you have a list of people who LOVE your products and REALLY enjoy what you have to sell then they are more likely to buy.If you have a huge list of people whose names you accumulated from some automated system or some other black hat technique, it won't do you any good. Having a list is like having a radio show or a TV show or a Kindergarten class or a Little League team. You have to get them involved and interested. If they don't want to be there you will never get through to them. But, if they are true FANS then you can sell them on pretty much anything.-MK

You can do several ways for list building, and as for the money part, it will vary with everyone regardless.

Eg. Giving a ebook in exchange for subscribing, giving a guide or great piece of content, in exchange as well.

Just make sure, when doing this, think long term and no a 5 minute made up ebook.

I have a list of just under 500 and I have various lists on a very specific niche going from just under 100 to just over 1500.

With both I do not have a very good relation (as in they are not very responsive). I only recently started with my niche lists (bigger) by offering discounts and providing some updates about my service (as they are all previous customers).

The smaller (just under 500) IM list is pretty much completely unresponsive. I've tried free gifts etc to build a relation but don't have much success it seems with the relationship building part.

I want to try and invite the people from the bigger various niche list to my IM mailing list.. just need to find a good way to invite them.. I think just inviting them out of the blue will get no response at all.

What do you guys do with your auto responders? Do you start offering paid product directly? Or do you 'talk' to them for like a week first? And if so in what way?

    Thanks!
