list box items to remove- very easy one

    hi!
    i have list box that contain 3 items . they are not in an array,
    each one of the is an object and they are all in the list box.

    i have a button that sais "remove item" . when it is being cliked and the user didn't pick an item i want a messege to come out and say "please pick an item to take off the list".

    how is it being done?
