Looking for ideas as to how to attract visitors "unique". What popular products or services in your opinions tend to draw the most attention. Please list them here, with what you think particular unique numbers would be.
i know someone who had success with soemthing called a "water balloon launcher" or something. it makes a great holiday gift, i'm not sure how much one costs though.
I would tihnk this would depend upon the niche your site is in. For example I don't think a free cheese cake would do well on a weight loss site or maybe it would Bruce
well it doesn't always have to be. the water balloon launcher is a great holiday gift, and no matter whether you're in webmastering, self-help or travel, your affiliates are likely to have family and friends and they wouldn't mind a gift such as that as a contest prize. cheesecake from weight-loss affiliate contests sounds ironic though.
Cars are good. iPods are cliche. For the webmaster crowd: web hosting, analytics services, Logoworks.com credit... PS3's and Wii's are hot right now to the 18-35 y/o crowd. I think the ideal is to find a product that is unique to your sites' niche and appeals to your target demo. Cheers,
Anybody have a graph of # of hits based on $ value of prize? I'm giving away an ipod shuffle right now for most popular poll. Should be a slam dunk for one of you webmasters with a busy site. This is my 3rd contest, and it was kind of fun watching the site get busier as the contests neared their endings. I'm not sure if it's the contest itself that draws the hits, or the prize. I'm sure if I was giving away a car I would have some pretty good traffic.
