    What are the 5 quality of a good paid directories ? what makes you pay to put your link in that directories ? what are the crucial factors to it ?

    I know its evil but at the moment i am looking only at dirs that are promoted and can pass some PR

    Otherwise a good quality of a directory can be judged by :

    1. Yup, a original template to start with
    2. Promotion visibility
    3. If it has a PR, then i look for inner page PR
    4. Limited sitewide link sales
    5. And quality of listed sites, if it approves gambling, porn, i stay away

    Networking is important to me. I always have more submission options than funds to pay for them. If a directory owner supports me or my directories they will be the first ones I'll consider submitting to.

    Please don't use the word "PAID", we are trying to distance ourselves from anything that has to do with money.

    If it offers FREE LISTING with one time review fee. This must be a very important quality for a directory

    Watch out for those directories selling links and offer you higher ranking in the serps just for listing your sites with them.

    It seems google is taking a few extra steps to devalue some sites specially directories.
