    Hi,

What's the difference between Linux and Windows hosting? is that related to my Operating System?
How to decide? which one's better?

    Thanks

linux is for PHP, MySQL, apache. Windows is for .ASP, this is considered your operating system which will tell you what you can run on your VPS or dedicated server.

most people use linux unless your going to use something that ends in .asp or a MSSQL. linux is the most common.

These are only 2 platforms. If you want to run window based scripts like ASP.net then you need windows. Another difference is in stability, security and speed. LINUX are more stable and speedy while windows are more secure. One important difference is in features and control - LINUX has more features as this has a wider base for applications and windows has less features and less control on features specially database; but all these entirely depends upon control panel also like HELM or PLESK and PLESK or cPanel and so on.
    NO
Depends upon your website's script - if your pages are in asp go for windows otherwise linux is better.
    You are welcome,
    Regards,
